Apple pushed the iOS 8.2 update yesterday after the company's Spring Forward event. The update includes stability improvements and bug fixes, but the main focus of the update is obviously Apple Watch. The update installs a separate Apple Watch app that helps you pair your watch to your iPhone, but some users are complaining its bloatware.
Apple is obviously using the app to advertise their watch, but without allowing users to remove the app they are creating a headache for some. Apple needs an app drawer like Android so users can decide what shows on the home screen.
Another alternative would be for Apple to simply put the Apple Watch sync app in Settings. Hiding it in Settings would keep it out of the view of people who don't want it on their home screen. It would also not promote the Apple Watch and Apple isn't stupid.
My prediction is Apple will eventually allow you to remove the app in some future update. Until then, stick it in a folder.
