When Apple decided to make the iPhone bigger they introduced a new feature called Reachability. A double touch of the Home button brings the screen down so you can reach the top with your thumb. It works, but double tapping the Home button can be awkward. Could Apple have made this easier? I think so.
What if a long press of the screen, then a drag down, brought the screen down. That would feel more natural. It would likely conflict with some gestures Apple already has baked into iOS (like a long press in Safari to organize your open windows) but it sure would make move the screen down feel more natural. They could give us options just like they do for swiping in the Mail app.
The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are both much bigger than the iPhone 5 and they make using the phone one handed almost impossible. Some people clearly don't mind using two hands on their phones, but others prefer one handed navigation. Apple needs to do more with Reachability to make it easier to manage. At this point, it seems like a gimmick!
