We've seen quite a few images of the upcoming iPad 3, and as suspected, the new iPad appears to be thicker. Rumors are that the iPad 3 will be 1 - 1.5 millimeters thicker than the current iPad 2. The back casing has a more gradual taper to try to offset the thickness, but it is thicker.
The iPad 3 will supposedly still fit in some iPad 2 cases even though it is thicker.
Apple is expected to announce the iPad 3 on March 7. The next iPad is expected to have a 9.7-inch Retina display, better camera, faster processor, and bigger battery. Check the source link below for more leaked images.
