Sprint will offer iPhone 5 in October with unlimited data plan

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - September 09, 2011

Sprint will offer the iPhone 5 to its customers in mid-October, and will offer an unlimited data plan to boot. According to Bloomberg, Sprint will try to distinguish itself from AT&T and Verizon by offering iPhone users an unlimited plan, something the other companies have recently scrapped.

Becoming the country’s only operator to offer the device with unlimited data service for a flat fee may help Sprint draw customers from AT&T and Verizon Wireless, which already carry the phone, they said.

Sprint has been at a disadvantage because they haven't had the best phones. They pinned their hopes on the supposed "iPhone killer" a few years ago with the Palm Pre, but we all know what happened there. The Pre didn't kill anything but Sprint's user base.
