iOS 5 is a bit closer to general public reality as Apple has released iOS 5 Beta 2 (build 9A5248d) for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad, and Apple TV. At the same time the company released iTunes 10.5 beta 2 for Mac. Of course to get a copy of the beta you have to have a paid developer account, but don't worry the release is not far off. If you have a developer account you already know how to get the beta.
