iPhone 5 coming in September - Bloomberg

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - June 22, 2011

Right on the heels of BGR's report that Apple will announce the iPhone 5 in August and release the device at the end of August, Bloomberg now says it will be a September release.

Bloomberg also says that the iPhone 5 will have a faster A5 dual-core processor, and an 8 megapixel camera, but will have the same form factor as the iPhone 4. BGR's report predicted a different form factor altogether.

From Bloomberg:

"The device will include the A5 processor, the more powerful chip that Apple added to the iPad 2 earlier this year, along with an 8-megapixel camera, up from the 5-megapixel model in the iPhone 4, said the people, who asked not to be identified because the details aren’t public. The new iPhone will closely resemble the iPhone 4, the people said."

Bloomberg also reports that Apple is working on an iPad 3 with a better display. Will Apple release a new iPad this year?

We'll have to see who is right, but it seems clear that all rumors point to a new iPhone 5 this fall and possibly a new iPad by the end of the year (doubtful).
