The jailbreak community has been waiting for an untethered iOS 5 jailbreak as currently the only jailbreak is a tethered one. Today, Chronic Dev Team member @pod2G has tweeted that he discovered a bug in iOS 5 that may lead to an untethered iOS 5 jailbreak.

The tweet read, "Hey jailbreaking friends, I’ve found a bug that can untether iOS 5. Don’t expect a release soon, but I’m gonna work hard in it."

Stay tuned. There just may be an iOS 5 untethered jailbreak on the horizon.
