Google iPhone app gets push notifications

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - August 23, 2010

Google has updated their iPhone app. The new app has a couple of nice features that make it worth the update.

Google has added push notifications for Gmail and Calendar. An icon badge shows you when you have new mail in Gmail, and a reminder for a Google Calendar event appears right on your home screen.

Google has also added a way to get your information faster when searching. If you're searching for flight info, weather, stock quotes or currency conversions, search results will drop down before you hit the search button. Google says this allows you to get your information faster.

Head on over to the App Store and update your Google app to see the new features.
