Apple no longer selling iPhones off contract
News - August 19, 2010 - 0 Comments
 |
It looks like Apple will no longer sell you an iPhone off contract. The only way they'll sell you an iPhone is if you agree to a 2-year contract with AT&T. What's up with that?
9to5mac spotted the section of the FAQ from Apple's website that spells out the policy. Some say AT&T will still sell you an iPhone at full pop if you don't want to sign the contract, but don't count on getting one at an Apple Store.
Apple still sells off contract iPhones in other countries but they're apparently gi...read more

As Google sells more and more Android phones, and the Android Market gathers more and more apps, the question becomes more pressing. Android or iPhone? They're both great platforms and the answer has nothing to do with one being better than the other.
Apple has a head start in the smartphone game because they launched the iPhone 3 years ago. Sure there were lots of Windows and Palm based smartphones before 2007, but the popularity of the devices just wasn't there yet. Apple convinced a bunc...read more

Faces
If you want to be able to dial people by their contact picture there is no better program than Faces. I've tried several other apps, and even some Safari hacks but don't fall for it. Just get Faces. You won't be so...read more

An alpha version of a port of Flash 10.1 is currently available via Cydia and as you can see in the video, it works. Obviously you'll need to have a jailbroken iPhone to do this, but if you're comfortable living on the edge why not give it a try?...read more
