As I do every launch day, I bought the latest iPhone. This time I chose the iPhone 6 over the 6 Plus. The iPhone 6 is more powerful than the 5 or 5s, has a longer battery life, better display, and is better in almost every respect, except size. Some people like large phones, but I don't. Why? I'm not really sure. I suppose it's because I have an iPad and an iPad mini. I also have several Macs to do real computing. For my phone, I want something I can manage with one hand that doesn't get in the way.
It hasn't been a huge problem to get used to the iPhone 6, but there is one thing I do where I really miss the 5 series. Working out. It's amazing, but the slight increase in size is cumbersome to me when I go running. It just is. When I go to the gym the added size is also an issue. If you think about it, the iPhone 6 isn't that much bigger than the 5, but it makes a big difference.
So what are my options? Well I can downgrade and use my iPhone 5s, but then what about Apple Pay? For now, I will be switching out my SIM card whenever I go running.
How about you? Are you happy with the larger iPhones, or do you hope Apple continues to make a 4 inch version of the iPhone?
