I just got back from a 3 week trip to Alaska and Western Canada, and I used Apple Maps and Google Maps quite a bit. I was surprised to find out I actually liked Apple Maps better than Google Maps. Apple's interface just makes more sense to me, and it was easier to bookmark locations and call them up later.
I had absolutely no issues with accuracy, and the turn by turn directions worked perfectly. I searched for a ton of Starbucks and Walmarts over the last three weeks and Apple got me there every time.
Apple Maps got so much criticism for inaccurate directions and faulty satellite images, I was expecting it to fail. It did not fail however, and actually worked pretty well.
Google Maps works well too, but for some reason I don't like the interface. I like the look of Google's Maps better, but the interface seems confusing to me for some reason.
How about you? Which Maps app do you prefer on your iPhone? Apple or Google?
