Apple stock has been tanking and analysts and enthusiasts alike have been hammering the company for not innovating enough. Well according to comScore, Apple may be doing something right. Even though the iPhone 5 only has a 4 inch display, and the iPhone 4S has an even smaller 3.5 inch display, Apple has increased its lead in the US.
The iPhone has 37.8 percent of the US market as of January 2013. That's a 3.5 point increase from October of last year. Number two on the list is Samsung, who also had an increase, but lags Apple.
Interestingly, Android still leads the mobile OS pack with 53.6% of the market, but they lost 1.3% to Apple as iOS gained 3.5% marketshare.
It looks like the public still loves Apple even though the analysts are souring on them.
