The rumor mill is cranking today with a report that Apple will release a 4.5 inch iPhone with a polycarbonate body in 2014. Japanese blog Macotakara has reported the new less expensive iPhone will be thicker than the current iPhone 5, and will have a body similar to the old MacBook laptops. We've heard a lot of these rumors before, but Macotakara has has reported accurate information about unannounced Apple products in the past.
With so much information swirling around about a less expensive iPhone, it sure seems like it sill happen. Apple is notorious for surprising us though, but it is well known that Apple is behind in several foreign markets. Countries like Indonesia are not used to paying the kind of premium prices that Apple charges for its phones. It would make sense for Apple to bring in a lower end phone, if they can do it without it being "cheap."
The new larger iPhone will supposedly sell for $330.
