Non-camera iPhones selling in Singapore

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - January 20, 2012

Who would want an iPhone without a camera? Apparently, the government of Singapore prohibits its military personnel from carrying phones with a camera, yet they all want the iPhone. So cell provider M1 camer to the rescue and is offering iPhone 4 and 4S's without cameras. The modified iPhone 4 and 4S, have been approved by Singapore's Ministry of Defense, or MINDEF, because they have had their front and rear facing cameras removed.

The modified iPhones are available with a two-year contract for $38 more than the original iPhones.

Singapore's other carriers say they are also looking into offering non-camera iPhones in the future.
