Nissan iPhone case heals scratches automatically

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - January 16, 2012

Nissan has developed a type of paint for cars that can automatically fix scratches. The paint is made of polyrotaxane which supposedly reacts when its structure is changed. It can actually morph back to its original state and cover over the scratch. The process can take between 1 hour to 1 weeks depending on the severity of the scratch.

Now, Nissan is bringing the technology to the iPhone. The new Nissan Scratch Shield case promises to heal itself should you ever drop your phone. The case is being beta tested in Europe and if all goes well it will hit the retail market. There is no specific word on whether it will be sold in the US, but if it is successful, someone will surely bring it over.
