The world has been expecting Apple to stick to their previous schedule of releasing new iPhones in June or July each year. The evidence has increasingly suggested that Apple would break from this schedule and release the next version of the iPhone sometime later in the year. MacRumors has reported that one of their users received word from an AT&T rep that seems to confirm these rumors.
"Apple has informed us that they do not plan to release the iPhone in the June to July timeframe, though there will be a newer version in the future. Unfortunately, we have not been given a release time for the new phone. We will release this information on our website when it is available to us."
You'll have to take the above with a grain of salt as we have no way of confirming this, but as we get closer to the summer it seems clear that a new iPhone will not be released any time soon.
