Toyota pulls jailbreak ad campaign after request from Apple

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - April 05, 2011

Toyota made a bold move in developing a Scion-branded theme pack in the Cydia store. As you know the Cydia store is only available to jailbroken devices, so it seemed to put Toyota at odds with Apple. Toyota was embracing the jailbreak community which Apple does everything in its power to thwart.

Apparently Apple contacted Toyota and asked them to remove the theme from the Cydia store. Toyota immediately complied with the request and had the theme removed. I guess Toyota wants to keep good relations with Apple.
