The Plaza Hotel in NYC has an iPad in every room

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - February 06, 2011

Imagine using an iPad to control the lights in your hotel room, order room service, request amenities, and more. The Plaza in New York has iPads in every room for guests to use as the main control panel for everything hotel related. You know how you normally do things on the TV in a hotel room? Not at the Plaza. It's all controlled by a custom app on an iPad.

The app is ICE Touch by Intelity. It gives the Plaza's guests complete control of their hotel experience. They can control the air conditioning in the room, order room service, make restaurant reservations, request wake up calls, print boarding passes, and more. It's all shown on video.
