Just a day after a Wall Street Journal report that claims Apple is working on a smaller iPhone (nano), we hear from DigiTimes that Apple is also working on a larger model. DigTime, who is hit and miss with their predictions, says Apple is testing an iPhone with a 4" display that will go head to head with the higher end Android phones.
From DigiTimes: "The component suppliers noted that the production lines for Apple's next generation iPhone have begun testing, and Apple is interesting in expanding the screen size to 4-inches to support the tablet PC market as the vendor only has a 9.7-inch iPad in the market."
While I'm skeptical of this report, it is welcome news if it is true. The iPhone is small compared to some of the Android devices and Apple would be doing customers a favor by offering a similar model.
