Kindle for iOS now supports magazines, newspapers, PDFs

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - December 22, 2011

Amazon has updated its iOS Kindle app to support magazine and newspaper subscriptions, as well as PDF documents. The updated Kindle app gives users access to 400 publications that were previously only available to hardware Kindle users. Now Kindle app users can read magazines and newspapers on their iPad or iPhone.

The new app also allows you to use your "send to Kindle" email address to get PDF docs into your Kindle app. Even though iPad users would probably find it easier to load their PDFs into Dropbox, and then open them in iBooks, it is a big step forward for Amazon.
