Steve Jobs Apple TV idea to include Siri?

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - October 27, 2011

Ever since Walter Isaacson's biography of Steve Jobs , the world has been trying to figure out what Steve meant when he said he had finally "cracked it," referring to the TV market and how he would change it. Steve Jobs was believed to be trying to create a simplified interface to television but the current market setup of cable companies controlling everything makes it very difficult to fundamentally change the TV market. As it turns out, Steve could have been referring to a TV that included Siri.

According to Nick Bilton of the New York Times Blog, Apple is going to make a TV. In fact, he was told by an Apple insider, “Absolutely, it is a guaranteed product for Apple....Steve thinks the industry is totally broken.”

So, will Apple create a TV running iOS that includes Siri? Will they sell a box that you hook up to your TV much like their current Apple TV? It remains to be seen, but my bet is they make a TV.
