Apple releases iOS 5 update

News - By: SPBlast! Staff - October 12, 2011

The iOS update is finally here. Apple released the update this morning. It may take awhile to get to all the iTunes servers, but you should have it today. Just plug your iPhone into your computer and you should be notified of the update. The update takes awhile (over 90 minutes for me), but when you're done you'll have a new operating system with loads of new features.

Be sure you keep your iPhone plugged into your computer until the update is completely done and all apps and data are restored. Your phone will reboot several times, and it sometimes looks like nothing is happening. This is a big update so just be patient.
