Iomega SuperHero iPhone dock backs up contacts and photos to an SD card

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - January 04, 2011

Iomega has introduced a new iPhone/iPod dock that backs up your photos and contacts to an SD Card. The dock works on the iPhone 3G and up, as well as the iPod Touch second generation and up.

Unfortunately, the SuperHero does not back up your music or apps due to restrictions in Apple's API. Maybe someday. It's still pretty cool to be able to back up your photos to an SD Card though, but they really need to add more features.

Once you pop your device on the dock an associated app launches to give you some options.

The SuperHero costs $69.99 which is pricey if you can't also back up your music, but it does include a 4GB SDHC card.
