Apple no longer selling iPhones off contract

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - August 19, 2010

It looks like Apple will no longer sell you an iPhone off contract. The only way they'll sell you an iPhone is if you agree to a 2-year contract with AT&T. What's up with that?

9to5mac spotted the section of the FAQ from Apple's website that spells out the policy. Some say AT&T will still sell you an iPhone at full pop if you don't want to sign the contract, but don't count on getting one at an Apple Store.

Apple still sells off contract iPhones in other countries but they're apparently giving the US the shaft.
