Screen Protectors banned in Apple retail stores?
News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - March 18, 2010

Does Apple not like screen protectors? iLounge and MacWorld are both reporting that Apple is banning the sale of screen protectors in its retail stores. Bummer. There is no solid reason for the ban, but speculation is that Apple wants to reduce the perception that screen protectors are a necessity because the devices' screens are not sufficiently durable. That doesn't make a lot of sense though. Some people just don't want oil on their screens.

"Another theory involves high return rates for the products due to difficulties with blemishes and air bubbles introduced by users as they attempt to adhere the products to their devices."

Whatever the reason it appears that screen protectors are on the outs at Apple retail stores.
