Will Apple dump Google for Microsoft's Bing?

News - By: pdaBlast! Staff - January 21, 2010

It looks like the competition between Apple and Google is really heating up. According to BusinessWeek, talks between Apple and Microsoft have been going on for weeks about whether Apple will use Bing as the default search on the iPhone. Such a move would mean further distancing themselves from Google.

There was a time when Google's CEO Eric Schmidt had a seat on Apple's board. These days, the companies are arch rivals. Google is in the mobile phone space with their Nexus One and has a competing OS to boot. Now it seems the two companies are competing so hard that BusinessWeek says "Microsoft is now a pawn in that battle."
